HYBRIDS
Here in Arazoa; we allow hybrids! However, our hybrids are on a more realistic side than your say, impossible hybrids; such as the Indominus Rex from Jurassic World.
The hybrids in this dream due to their size, type and genetics, have a wide range of possibilities depending on their parents, and the way in which they where conceived.
While hybridization is rare in the wild; it does happen! This gives a species as a whole a chance to grow, develop new abilities, traits and possess a whole new array of strengths and weaknesses. Hybrid species can thus break off from their norms and can evolve and grow, allowing for new species and or to better the bloodline of it's mother / sister species all together.
However, hybridization comes with trail and error; and those come with prices of their own. Babies born can be or are often stillborn, have infertility, or come with a wide array of defects. These defects, or mutations can range from non-life altering, to severe disabilities. Some defects are light and not noticeable, such as general appearance totally altered. Yet, others can come with a more severe form, and cause fatalities in birth or later in life.
If the hybrid makes it well into adulthood....

Let's break down our basic rules for hybrids here in Arazoa...
1. Hybrids must be contained within the same family / sub family.
what this means is that if a hybrid where to be conceived it needs to be within the relatively close genetic line of the animals it's born from. An example of this is the well known Liger. Ligers are possible due to the fact that their parents are in the same feline / panthera family.
in Arazoa, hybrids must be of this nature; as different genetic families cannot breed with each other;
Examples:
Utahraptor x Achillobator = Possible! These two animals are in the same Dromeosauridae family and can mix. Resulting in semi-large hybrids.
Tyrannosaurus Rex x Spinosaurus = NOT POSSIBLE! These two animals are not in the same family, and therefore cannot breed.
Tyrannosaurus Rex x Utahraptor = NOT POSSIBLE! These two animals are not in the same family, and therefore cannot breed.
Spinosaurus x Suchomimus = Possible! These two are in the same family!
2. If hybrids are conceived / created in the dream; they must be rolled for! As there is such things to work out like survival, fertility, and defects/mutations.
If they are conceived in the dream you must roll to see the number of offspring;
roll1d12
then for each baby you must roll 1d60;
3. Even if your character wasn't conceived in the dream, everyone MUST FOLLOW THIS RULE.
FOR EACH HYBRID:
roll1d60
1-10 stillborn
11-20 young death lethal defect
21-30 reaches adult hood severe defect
31-40 moderate defect
41-50 slight defect
51-60 no defect
this determines each hybrids survival, mutations, and severity of mutations.
4. Next, for each hybrid they must be rolled for fertility. THIS IS A MUST FOR A HYBRID.
this can be done for either a clutch of eggs or an individual character by itself.
say !fert
when you get...
0 - Infertile
1 - Very Fertile
2 - Semi-fertile ( when rolling for clutch; divide egg number by 2)
3 - Moderately fertile ( when rolling for clutch; divide egg number by 3)
4 - Low fertility ( when rolling for clutch; divide egg number by 4)
This is because avian hybrids are found to more more fertile than mammalian hybrids! Much research was done into the finding, and since birds are the descendants of dinosaurs; we can figure this into a huge factor for hybrids in the dream!
Research was also noted that the avian hybrids create new species, and even more so cause their parent species to either become corrupt, or worse, go extinct! It's fascinating stuff and can bring on some interesting plots!
5. In the case of defects / mutations, the decision is up to the player on what kind of defect they will have based on the severity that they roll.
6. Do NOT powerplay your hybrid! Doing so will result in immediate suspension of said hybrid; your character will no longer be allowed in the IC; and deleted from the accepted / permissions list.
